VOLUNTEER
We are always in need of talented, responsible volunteers to help maintain the high quality of this annual event. Below is a list of volunteer opportunities. Project Coordinator Assistant |
Work with YGEA Director, oversee daily operations leading up to events (entertainment, nominees, ticket sales, decoration, artist submission, etc.) |
|
Marketing Coordinator |
Oversee marketing initiatives (promotions, advertising, press releases, etc) |
|
Admin Assistant |
Work with Creative Director and Project Coordinator on a weekly basis to make phone calls and perform administrative duties |
|
Sales Rep |
Secure sponsorship and/or Program Book advertisements
|
|
Media Assistant |
Work with Media Coordinator. Distribute registration forms and passes to approved media. (2 weeks prior to event) |
|
Entertainment Coordinator |
Distribute Artist Contracts to entertainers for the show and distribute passes and/or wristbands. (2 weeks prior to event). Assist with getting entertainers prepared to enter the stage for performance. Will work with runners |

DJ Assistant |
Assist with the coordinating of artist’s music for the show |
|
Backstage Assistant |
Assist Backstage Manager with overseeing runners for (nominees, entertainers, presenters, hosts, awards, models). Traffic Control. |
|
Presenters Coordinator |
In charge of getting presenters to stage in timely manner. Will work with runners |
|
Awards Coordinator |
In charge of maintaining order of awards with the flow of the Award’s Ceremony |
|
Award’s Presenter |
In charge of walking out on stage handing the Award to winning recipient. Will work with Award’s Coordinator |
|
Entertainment Runners |
Will go out in audience to get entertainment to stage. |
|
Presenter Runners |
Will go out in audience to get Presenters to the stage. |
|
Backstage Manager |
Oversee the entire backstage operation |
|
Sound Engineer Assistant |
Work with sound engineer. Cue him when sound effects are needed, etc.
|
|
Lighting Engineer Assistant |
Work with lighting for special effects, i.e. Spotlights, strob, laser, etc.
|
|
Ticket Taker |
Work in ticket booth and take tickets and/or assist with walk-up customers |
|
Greeters |
Greet patrons as they walk into the venue. Escort VIPs to their section. |
|
Photography Assistant |
Assistant photographer with distributing pictures |
|
Model Coordinator |
Assist with model and clothing preparation |
|
Hospitality Committee |
Direct out-of-town visitors to hotel and venue |
|
Youth Pastor’s Concierge |
Will be assigned to Youth Pastors |
|
Black Carpet Coordinator |
Manage Red Carpet interviews (nominees, artists, presenters). Inform interviewers of who’s who (you will have a list & information) |
|
Caterer Assistant |
Assist with the preparation of food sold at event |
|
Floater Volunteers |
Extra volunteers on call wherever they are needed |
|
Sound Manager |
Record show digitally from mixing board |
|
Slideshow Manager |
Put together slideshow for nominees & presenter’s introduction |
|
Production Assistant |
Assist in putting together the show |
|
Nominee Committee |
Serve on committee to nominate entertainers |
|
College Rep |
Representing YGEA Awards at colleges (promotions, events, etc.) |
